Montana YewTip Tea – decoction, using loose tea:
Use 3 level tablespoons of YewTips per quart (4 cups) of water.
(For smaller amounts use: ½ TBS for 1 cup, 1 TBS for 2 cups, 2 TBS for 3 cups.)
Place water and plant material in glass, porcelain or stainless steel cookware. (Do not use aluminum.)
Cover container, bring to a boil. Take off heat as soon as it begins to boil. Steep twenty minutes, stirring occasionally, strain through a fresh coffee filter. Use within 48 hours or store in refrigerator.
Tea can be iced. Flavor can be enhanced with honey/lemon.
Begin with 1 or 2 cups a day, gradually increasing to 3 or 4 cups daily, or to your comfort level.
Keep unused dry tea in a dry, dark place to retain freshness.
Montana YewTip Tea Bag – infusion, using tea bags:
Place 1 tea bag in 8 ounce cup and cover with boiling water. Steep 5 – 10 minutes, remove bag.
Flavor can be enhanced with honey/lemon.
Use infusion tea in same manner as recommended for above decoction or for any commercial tea bag.
Montana YewTip Tincture – a liquid concentrate, fresh 1:1.7 ratio by weight
Preparation is convenient to use, highly concentrated (1 part fresh yew tips to 1.7 parts 190 proof grain alcohol- 70%).
Suggested use: Take one dropper (1 ml.) per 100 lbs body weight in 1 oz hot water. Let stand in water for 10 minutes to dissipate alcohol. Take up to 3 times daily. It can also be added to other liquids such as tea, coffee, juice, etc. Some folks take it full strength under the tongue, which is reported to sting a bit.
Montana YewTip Oil - alcohol-free tincture, a liquid concentrate, fresh 1:1.7
YewTip Oil is made from YewTip Tincture with alcohol and water evaporated off into olive oil by proprietary process.
Suggested use: Take one dropper (1 ml.) under the tongue up to 3 times daily, or can be added to food after food is cooked.
Montana YewTip Capsules – 300 mg:
Made from powdered YewTip loose tea, 300 mg. encapsulated in # 0 gelatin capsule.
Suggested use: Two to six capsules daily with meals.
Montana YewTip Salve – handmade:
Base ingredient is YewTip Oil plus bees wax. Apply a thin coating to afflicted area 1 – 3 times daily.
For difficult to heal areas, apply thicker and cover with gauze or band aid to hold salve in direct contact with area to be treated. Change dressing daily.
Montana YewTip Soap – handmade:
Ingredients: Castile soap base with Montana YewTip oil.
Montana YewTip Lotion – handmade:
Ingredients: Montana YewTip Oil blended with base of Purified Water, Organic Aloe, Grape seed Oil,
Avocado Oil, Safflower Oil, Organic Sunflower, Shea or Karite Butter, Green Tea, Echinacea, Witch
Hazel, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Vitamin E, Xanthan Gum, Zinc Oxide. Order with or without fragrance.
Excellent for sun damage and healing dry or cracked skin.
